The agreement between us, when you browse, sign in, or order.

Canny Recollection designs educational placemats, posters, pocket reference guides, and fridge magnets. Products are printed to order at third-party production partners and shipped directly to you. We are the merchant of record. We set the designs, the catalog, and the prices.

When you add something to your cart and check out, you are making an offer to buy. Stripe processes the payment on our behalf. Your order is accepted when we receive confirmation of payment from Stripe; at that moment a contract of sale comes into effect.

Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) unless your checkout session displays another currency, which Stripe converts at checkout. We are not currently registered for GST, so no Australian GST is added to your order. Where another jurisdiction requires it, Stripe calculates any applicable tax (such as VAT or sales tax) at checkout. The final price you pay is the price displayed at checkout.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if the item cannot be fulfilled for reasons outside our control, if the payment is disputed or suspected fraudulent, or if pricing was displayed in error. In that case we refund the full amount within 7 business days.

Full timing and regional details are on the shipping protocols page. The short version: 2 to 4 working days in production, then 3 to 10 working days in transit. Tracking is emailed when your package leaves the production facility. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed. Carriers occasionally delay shipments and we have no control over that.

Full policy is on the returns page. Because every item is printed to order we do not accept returns of correctly-fulfilled items for change-of-mind. We replace (at no cost) anything that arrives damaged, defective, or genuinely not as described, provided you contact us within 14 days of receipt with a photo.

Nothing in these terms limits the consumer guarantees that apply to you under Australian Consumer Law or equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction. Those rights apply in addition to anything written here.

All designs, illustrations, layouts, and editorial content on this site are © Canny Recollection unless explicitly marked otherwise. The underlying factual information (the scientific method, the Circle of Fifths, the periodic table) is not ownable. Our specific rendering and arrangement of it is.

When you buy a printed product from us, you own that physical item and may use it freely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You do not receive any rights to reproduce the design itself, redistribute the image digitally, or resell copies commercially.

If you believe something on this site infringes a right of yours, email cannyrecollection@threeeyedemu.com.au with the specific URL and a description of the claim.

Every design is fact-checked before publication and we correct errors when they are brought to our attention. Educational content is presented for general interest, not as professional advice in any field. First aid content is not a substitute for training. Financial content is not a substitute for a financial adviser. Medical content is not a substitute for a doctor. Nothing on a poster should be relied on for decisions where professional judgment matters.

You agree not to use the site to do things that would embarrass a grown-up: no scraping our catalog for competitive reproduction, no automated order placement, no attempts to access systems or data we haven’t opened to you, no harassment of us or our customers via any channel. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, and to report unlawful activity to the relevant authority.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the site is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the 12 months preceding the event that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages (lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill) even if we have been advised of their possibility.

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under Australian Consumer Law, the consumer-protection law of your jurisdiction, or in cases of our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

We will update this page when our terms change. For material changes (particularly ones affecting refund policy, liability, or pricing rules), we will email everyone with an account at least 14 days before the new terms take effect. Continued use of the site after the effective date counts as acceptance. If you don’t accept the change, stop using the site and email us to close your account.

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you are a consumer resident in another jurisdiction, the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your home jurisdiction also apply, and nothing in these terms is intended to override them.
